ABOUT US

At Pip Squeak Speech Pathology, we are dedicated to providing evidenced based and Neurodiversity affirming therapy for our clients. We understand that every child is unique, and we tailor our services to meet our client's specific needs and interests.  We are passionate about helping children reach their full potential and supporting them to achieve goals which are meaningful for their lives.

Our vision is to provide respectful, kind and empathetic therapeutic services, which help children achieve their goals and maximise their future happiness; whatever that looks like for them.

OUR APPROACH

At Pip Squeak Speech Pathology, we live and breathe Neurodiversity affirming therapy. Because of this, we draw upon therapy approaches which use a relationship based approach, work within a social model of disability and are not behavioural based interventions in nature. Some examples are:

  • DIR Floortime

  • The Hanen Program

  • SCERTS

  • Autism Level Up!

  • Natural Language Acquisition (Gestalt Language)

  • Perspective taking

  • Communication partner training

  • AAC

  • Collaborative and Proactive Solutions

We do not use or recommend ABA based, behavioural based or social skills based programs in our therapy.
