Frequently Asked Questions

Below are some of the common questions we're asked by prospective clients. If you still have questions, let us know via the contact form. We're here to help!

  • What services do you deliver?
We deliver Speech Pathology services to kids aged 0-18. Areas we can target and are really passionate about, include: - Early language development and first words - Teaching Key Word Signs to children and their loved ones - Assessing, applying for and implementing AAC devices - Gestalt Language Processing - Sentence building - Grammar - Listening and reading comprehension - Literacy and phonological awareness - Perspective taking - Narrative skills - Social communication for the child and those important to them - Speech sounds - Fluency and stuttering
  • Where do you deliver services?
We're a fully mobile service, so we will come to you. We're happy to do Speech Pathology sessions at your child's school, home, daycare or other important community location. We do, on occasion, rent community spaces if this better suits the child. This needs to be discussed with us before commencing sessions though.
  • Where are you based?
We service the South of River region in Perth, WA. We currently see clients in the Fremantle, Cockburn, Rockingham and Mandurah LGA's. We try to book clients in similar locations on the same day to limit travel charges. If this is not possible, we'll discuss the travel chare with you before commencing therapy.
  • What's your approach to therapy?
We are a Neurodiversity Affirming therapy provider. This means that we will look at your child and family from a strength based approach, identify areas which are meaningful to your child and family collaboratively, and target these goals within a relationship based framework. Being Neurodiversity Affirming, we aim to build skills, implement tools, adapt the environment and upskill those around the child, to better support their communication and development.
  • Do I need an assessment?
In order to provide the best and most meaningful therapy for your child we need to know exactly where their speech and language are at. Otherwise, we can waste precious sessions targeting areas which aren't the most beneficial for your child. Due to this, we generally recommend an initial assessment before starting therapy. If you have had a recent Speech Pathology assessment (<6 months old) and have received a report with goals, we may be able to commence therapy without an assessment. We'll discuss this with you after seeing the report and discussing your child's current presentation with you.
  • Do I need a referral?
No, you don't need a referral to access our services.
  • What funding do you accept?
We see clients who are: - NDIS self managed - NDIS plan managed - Private health - Medicare - Private pay We are not NDIS registered so are unable to see clients whose plans are NDIS managed
